A family based children’s Community for displaced Honduran children

Rancho Ebenezer Honduras

A family based children’s center where displaced Honduran children receive care for basic needs, individual nurturing, treatment for emotional stress, preparation for a future as successful citizens, and an introduction to the love of Christ.

Rancho Ebenezer’s lively 80 acre campus serves as home to abandoned, orphaned, and displaced children from birth to 18 years of age. We provide caring homes, an excellent education with a bilingual emphasis and vocational training to our young at-risk population. Here, children experience a loving family life under the guidance of attentive caregivers and Mentor Parents who look to their physical and spiritual needs daily, teaching them to trust Jesus Christ with their lives. At Ebenezer Academy, children are provided with a meaningful education and Bible study.  Through Rancho Ebenezer’s Vocational Education program they are given age-appropriate responsibility and are taught to work together and to dream of a bright future serving others and serving their country. Meaningful ministry and service opportunities further equip our children to break the cycle of poverty and abandonment, restoring hope for these future productive citizens of Honduras.

Our graduates have served their society in schools, Christian ministry and business. Our hope is that through citizenship, productivity and vital relationships, young people who graduate from WGO’s children’s ministry will set an example of Christian virtue in their homes and communities and influence others for Jesus Christ.

Sponsor Kids

WGOKids is the child sponsorship program of World Gospel Outreach. It is the fund that supports individual children who are under our care at Rancho Ebenezer in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Located in the mountains just outside the capital city, Rancho Ebenezer is a community of family-style homes that has been developed as a place for healing and growth for at-risk children in Honduras.

Bridge Program

WGO developed the Bridge Program in 2003 in order to equip young adults to transition to total independence under Christian mentorship. The goals of the Bridge Program are to foster development of personal responsibility and practical life skills necessary to be productive Honduran citizens with continued emphasis on Biblical Christian maturity.

Family Mentors

The Mentor Parent model in place at Rancho Ebenezer has been a successful way of caring for the children that God brings here.  The success of this model rests on the ability of the Mentor Parents and the in-home counselors to work well as a team.

Serve team

Ranch Serve Teams are the picture of flexibility and missions. These teams can be involved in a spectrum of projects from construction projects to children’s outreach. The focus of the work is to show the Hondurans the love of Christ, improve their physical environment or sometimes just to give a “cup of cold water.”
