Leadership

WGO is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Serving under that Board are the officers of CEO and CFO. Below is a list of the members of the Board of Directors and the Management Team.

President and CEO

Nathan Wittkamp

With 22 years of experience in ministry, non-profit and corporate roles, Nathan joins WGO with a heart and drive for the mission. A native of Raleigh, NC he originally saw corporate America as his mission field, but a short-term mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico opened his eyes to the possibility of serving the Lord in other ways. This led to roles with Samaritan’s Purse, American Red Cross and the IMB in Honduras, Sudan, Italy, Czech Republic, and the US. His leadership positions have included extensive work in fundraising, international operations, public relations, strategic planning and new program development. He strives to ensure that outreach programs and projects run with excellence and not only meet basic needs, but with the goal of opening the door for a conversation about the Gospel. Nathan and his wife Emily of 15 years, reside in Wake Forest, NC with their 3 children.

Otniel was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and came to work for WGO in 2015, where he met his wife Rachel Hahn who has been a missionary with WGO since 2009. Otniel and Rachel now have the blessing of their daughter Lydia Isabella. Otniel is the youngest of three siblings born into a Christian family where he was able to see and experience God’s faithfulness in many different ways. He graduated from high school at Academia Los Pinares, a Christian bilingual school, and later got a BS in Industrial Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Honduras. For a little over 16 years he worked as an independent contractor providing simultaneous interpretation services for foreign and local government agencies, NGO’s, and international businesses. He also taught at and helped manage a non-profit Christian bilingual school for 9 years and served on the board of a Christian foundation in Honduras.  Rachel has a BS in Music Ministry from Ozark Christian College and has served as a teacher at WGO’s Ebenezer Academy and in most recent years as Manager of WGO’s Child Sponsorship program. Otniel and Rachel enjoy leading worship at their local church and serving together in ministry to impact the lives of those that are most in need on Honduras.

"Growing up I remember seeing how hard my parents worked to give us better opportunities in life and that etched in me a desire to help others in need. Coming to WGO has been a blessing and an answer to prayer to find an opportunity to use my abilities to impact the lives of others in a meaningful way that glorifies God. I enjoy the outdoors and visiting my family’s coffee plantation. I also enjoy engaging in any type of activities and projects where I can challenge myself to use my mechanical abilities."

Rachel Wust, International Human Resources Manager

Rachel first experienced the work of World Gospel Outreach during two mission trips to Honduras back in the 90’s. It was a life changing experience after serving in ways never before imagined. Fast forward about 20 years when she joined WGO’s finance team before subsequently stepping into the HR role in January of 2022. Her education includes a B.S. in Psychology with a business minor at Ball State University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. She and her husband Jon have an adult son and daughter and live in Michigan where she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Mac Youngblood, Director of Partner Relations

Mac and Ashley along with their girls, Amelia and Addison, joined the ministry in July of 2015.  They hail from the town in Columbus, MS where Mac was in insurance sales and Ashley was a florist. They found the calling to join the mission field after two short term trips to Rancho Ebenezer.  With Mac’s business background, he found a great fit as the Director of Human Resources, initially and Ashley found a role as a teacher at a local school near the Mission House. Mac has transitioned into the Director of Program Accounts where he manages our Ambassadors in the US along with the WGO Coffee Club.

Melissa Scott, Manager of Serve Teams
